Man United: Henderson return 'depends on De Gea' says pundit
Chris Wilder has talked down Sheffield United's hopes of beating Manchester United to the final Champions League place in hope that the Red Devils will allow them to extend goalkeeper Dean Henderson's loan deal.
Henderson has been in fine form for the Blades this season keeping 10 clean sheets - just one behind Premier League golden glove leader Nick Pope.
Fifth place in the table may qualify for the Champions League this season because of Manchester City's European ban and Sheffield United are five points behind their Manchester rivals who occupy that spot - and they have a game in hand.
Wilder laughed off suggestions that his side should be battling for Champions League football as they have only just got past the magical 40 points mark, which is the figure many deem enough to avoid relegation.
"Have you just said something there about a Champions League place? We’ve only just got enough points to stay in the Premier League," Wilder told beIN Sports' Keys & Gray Show.
"Sheffield United competing with Man United for a Champions League place, Rich are you sure? We’re not a threat to them."

Another key fight Wilder has on his hands is to try and keep hold of Henderson.
The 23-year-old's loan is due to expire on June 30 but the Premier League season may not be concluded by then.
"I personally think it will be morally correct to leave [Henderson] playing with Sheffield United for the last 10 games of the season," Wilder added.
"Because of the legalities and the situation regarding the expiry of the loan, they might take that decision [to recall him], but we are not a threat to Man U.
