Man Utd: Jack Grealish transfer is a ‘possibility’ says Burley
Manchester United are finding Aston Villa to be tough negotiators over a possible transfer for Jack Grealish, reports say. The 24-year-old is wanted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he eyes Premier League title glory next season.
Manchester United have been impressed by Grealish’s performances this season, with the attacker boosting Aston Villa’s hopes of Premier League survival.
He played a key role in their charge to the Carabao Cup final, where they were beaten by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday.
United want to sign flair players and a playmaker is high on their radar, despite the January arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
But the Manchester Evening News say the Red Devils are finding Villa to be tough negotiators.
It’s said that they’re playing ‘hardball’ in early discussions.
And that would suggest that the player’s reported £45million release clause is void.

United have the money to sign Grealish but they’ve proven in the past they’re willing to walk away if they feel they’re being ripped off.
But with Solskjaer such a big Grealish admirer, it still remains likely that the playmaker will be strutting his stuff at Old Trafford next season.
The United manager was full of praise for the Villa star after United’s 2-2 draw against Dean Smith’s side back in December.
"I can’t talk too much about other teams’ players if they are Man United calibre or targets,” he said.
"But fantastic goal. I think he has hit one of those corners that I have hit a couple of times. It was a great finish but then again we should defend better and show him down the left.
