Everton want Emre Can
Everton are considering a £30million raid for former Liverpool star Emre Can who recently rejected a move to Manchester United. According to the Daily Mirror, Can is Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti’s top target after being told by Juve that he is surplus to requirements amid the ongoing January transfer window.
Inter Milan have also identified the Germany international as a key target but are unwilling to meet their Serie A rivals’ buy-out clause or the player’s £100,000-a-week wages.
That has given Everton a significant boost in their bid to improve their midfield following a poor start to the campaign under former manager Marco Silva, who was replaced by Ancelotti in December.
However, Can’s Liverpool past could play a critical role in negotiations as it was his four-year stint at Anfield that made him choose against a move to United this month.
A possible deal with Everton could fall through for the same reason due to the club’s intense rivalry with their Merseyside counterparts.

Roy Keane slams Anthony Martial
Liverpool’s win over Manchester United on Sunday proved Anthony Martial is not good enough for the Red Devils, says Roy Keane.
“You’re always going to get one big moment,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
“Martial, you’ve come to Man United, the big striker scoring in the big moments, bang, there you go.
“To me that sums up his career in a nutshell at Man United. Excellent build-up play but you hit that target, no excuses, you hit that target.
“The big players at Man United, the big strikers who are remembered by these supporters out there, certainly hit the target and hit the back of the net.
“That’s why that guy is not quite good enough for Man United. In that moment there, summed him up.”
Manchester United have scheduled more talks with Sporting Lisbon over a deal for Bruno Fernandes. The Red Devils will hold more negotiations over the attacking midfielder this week. Express Sport understands United’s move for Fernandes has recently stalled.
The two parties had looked close to agreeing a deal on Friday and United sources admit there is still a will to get the business done.
And according to Sky Sports, United and Sporting will hold more transfer talks this week.
They say Fernandes is desperate to head to Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts.
Sky Sports add that there’s a willingness from all parties to get a deal done this month.

Manchester Untied are desperate to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes this month in the transfer window.
But Paul Merson believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should make a move for Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish instead.
“Forget Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United should be trying to sign Jack Grealish,” he told the Daily Star. “He is one of the top ten players in the Premier League right now. He is absolutely different class and would walk into almost any other Premier League team.
“Grealish would walk into the United team. Tottenham tried to get him not long ago and he’d walk into their team right now as well.
“Bruno Fernandes is a full international. He’s had clubs all over Europe looking at him. But he’s never played in this league before. Grealish has. And he’s ripping it up every week.”
