Chelsea are unlikely to sign either Nathan Ake or Callum Wilson from Bournemouth this month, according to Sky Sports.
Lampard had the option of triggering Ake’s £40million buy-back clause this month.
But, it’s believed Chelsea have passed on the option, and have also backed out of a deal for Wilson.
Chelsea had sent scouts to watch both players, but the Blues won’t be making any bids for either star in January.

Aston Villa targeting three more January deals
Aston Villa aren’t finished in the transfer window yet, despite already signing Danny Drinkwater and Pepe Reina on loan deals.
Dean Smith is interested in signing former Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to The Mirror.
The Roma midfielder is on loan at Galatasaray, but is set to see that deal terminated over a training ground bust up.
Villa are also keen to sign two more strikers this month, and they’ve been linked with Olivier Giroud, Glenn Murray and Krzysztof Piatek.

Celtic have confirmed the signing of Poland Under-21 striker Patryk Klimala.
He joined Celtic Park from Jagiellonia, in a reported £3.5million deal.
After the signing was confirmed, Klimala said: “It’s a big moment for me and I’m very excited.
“I had the chance to see the stadium and I felt the atmosphere. It was amazing. I understand how massive a club Celtic is, but I feel I’m ready for this now.”

Celtic face battle against Rangers for £2m-rated Shankland
Celtic are trying to sign Lawrence Shankland from Dundee United this month, Express Sport understands.
Rangers are also watching the striker, along with QPR and Charlton.
But, Dundee United have no intention of selling the Scottish Championship’s leading goalscorer this month.
Shankland has score 22 league goals in 19 matches this season, having signed for Dundee United in a free transfer last summer.

Ashley Young doubt
Ashley Young looks set to stay at Manchester United.
That’s according toSky Sports, who claim Inter Milan are close to securing an alternative target.
Young, 34, rejected a one-year contract extension at Old Trafford to join Antonio Conte at the San Siro.
But his move looks to have been shattered after reports claiming Inter Milan and Roma close to agreeing a swap deal involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola.

Chelsea dispatched scouts to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara in action against Juventus on Sunday.
Diawara, 22, joined Roma from Napoli in July 2019 for £18million and has cemented his place in the heart of Paulo Fonseca’s midfield.
The Guinea international played the full 90 minutes as Juventus secured a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico - and Italian publication Tuttomercato claim Chelsea scouts were present to assess his performance.
Representatives from Premier League rivals Tottenham were also in attendance to watch the defensive midfielder.

OGS tight-lipped on Fernandes
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer declined to offer an update on the club's pursuit of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Red Devils are reportedly in talks with the Portuguese club over a January deal for the 25-year-old, but Solskjaer indicated on Tuesday nothing was imminent.
"I've got no transfer updates," he said. "If we get something we can tell you about we will, but we've got no news now."
However, Solskjaer indicated there was money available to spend if required, regardless of suggestions that United's status as England's richest club was "at risk".

Arsenal are interested in Athletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
That’s according to the club’s president Mario Celso Petraglia, who claims the Gunners will only make an approach after the current campaign.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea had sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old during prior to their transfer ban.
“Yes it's true. Yesterday came the official offer from Benfica to sign Bruno Guimaraes,” Petraglia told O Jogo. “Arsenal are interested, but will only make an offer towards the end of the season.”

Timo Werner to Real Madrid
Real Madrid will submit an offer for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
That’s according to German Sky Sports reporter Marc Behrenbeck, who believes it’s only a matter of time before Zinedine Zidane’s side come knocking.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with the Germany international, whose contract reportedly contains a release clause between £23-£51million.
“He is currently being scouted very intensively. As we hear from Spain, it is only a matter of time before Real Madrid contact Werner and also makes an offer,” Behrenbeck told Sky Sports.

Ambitious Newcastle swoop
Newcastle might scupper Chelsea’s hopes of signing Moussa Dembele this month if Steve Bruce gets his way and Mike Ashley stumps up the cash for the in-demand Lyon striker.
Express Sport understands Frank Lampard and Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are interested in bringing Dembele back to the UK, where he’s previously shone for Fulham and Celtic.
However, with Newcastle not yet clear of relegation danger, Bruce wants to add some fire-power to his Toon side and has got Dembele in his sights.
The Daily Star report St James’ Park boss Bruce would ‘love’ to compete for Dembele before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.

New boss Quique Setien once blocked Barcelona’s approach for Fabian Ruiz, Mundo Deportivo report.
The Spanish champions, along with rivals Real Madrid and Manchester United, have been linked with £86million-rated Ruiz over the past several months.
But Barcelona could have snapped him up for a paltry £850,000 in 2017.
Setien was a big fan of Ruiz during their time together at Real Betis and personally blocked Barcelona’s approach for the midfielder before his £25m transfer to Napoli the following year.

John Stones to Arsenal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has identified the man he wants to make his first signing as Gunners chief.
The Spaniard apparently wants Manchester City outcast John Stones to join this month.
The Englishman has only started nine league games, and was left out of five of the last six match-day squads.
As a result, it appears he is willing to leave the Etihad after three-and-a-half years, according to The Sun.

Wanted: Marash Kumbulla
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the battle to sign Albania international Marash Kumbulla.
That’s according to Italian publicationCalciomercato, who claim Frank Lampard is eager to bring the 19-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are in the market for a defender and Kumbulla would represent a cheaper alternative to Brighton’s Lewis Dunk.
It’s said that Kumbulla, who plays for Serie A side Hellas Verona, is valued at £13million but is also being tracked by Juventus and Inter Milan.
