Moussa Dembele: Pundit discusses possible Chelsea move
Newcastle might scupper Chelsea’s hopes of signing Moussa Dembele this month if Steve Bruce gets his way and Mike Ashley stumps up the cash for the in-demand Lyon striker. Express Sport understands Frank Lampard and Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are interested in bringing Dembele back to the UK, where he’s previously shone for Fulham and Celtic.

Chelsea boss Lampard has already launched a bid for Dembele which included an option to sign Olivier Giroud - who Newcastle have looked at luring to the north east.
United, meanwhile, have considered an approach for the 23-year-old, who’s fired in 11 goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon so far this season.
Newcastle’s hopes of fighting off Chelsea and United are slim if Lampard and Solskjaer firm up their interest given their lack of European football.
But Bruce insists he is ready to name names when he sits down for talks with Ashley as he seeks to bolster his Newcastle squad, which sits 13th in the Premier League.

"If there is somebody who can improve us, then I will ask him the question," Bruce said, having been invited by Ashley for a meeting regarding potential moves.
"He just wanted to come in and see if he could give us a hand. He was very supportive in the summer so if he wants to come and have a cup of tea with me, fine.
"I certainly don't want to be labelled that puppet thing again but you have to have a strong relationship with the owner or CEO and it is very, very strong at the moment. I will never be anyone's puppet. I want what's best for this club.
"We've seen little bits of quality in [Miguel] Almiron and [Allan] Saint-Maximin That's what we need and if we can get to the level of them – if we can get one or two – then let's try."
