Man Utd won’t regret signing Bruno Fernandes says fan
Manchester United will still try to sign Leicester star James Maddison at the end of the season despite the club expecting to welcome Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford this month, according to reports. Both players have been backed to move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side throughout the season so far.
Manchester United are understood to be closing in on a deal for Fernandes, who has flourished for Sporting Lisbon this season.
The Portugal international has been in terrific form for his club throughout the campaign, scoring 15 goals and contributing 13 assists from 25 matches so far.
United are hoping to sign Fernandes before the end of the week, which could mean the 25-year-old makes his debut against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Amid their desire to sign the Sporting star, links to Leicester’s Maddison have refused to die down.
The England international has played a key role in the Foxes’ charge towards Champions League qualification this this season.

But, behind the scenes, United expect Pogba to eventually broker a move away.
As well as the 2018 World Cup winner, they also believe that Nemanja Matic may depart.
And that means United are open to the prospect of signing Fernandes and Maddison.
Solskjaer was coy when asked about Fernandes early on Tuesday morning.
“I’ve got no transfer updates, so no,” he said when asked about the Portugal international.

“If we get something that we can tell you about we will but I’ve got no news now.”
Solskjaer did claim, though, that United have resources to spend big.
He said: “For me, the most important thing is we get results sorted, get performances on the pitch, that has got to be my focus.
“But I know we’ve got the resources, we’ve got the backing if we need to go into the transfer market. We are still up there, so still in a good place.”
