Bruno Fernandes: Pundits discuss Manchester United deal
Manchester United have been told now is their last chance to sign Bruno Fernandes, says transfer expert Duncan Castles. United look to be closing in on Portugal international Fernandes after failing to sign him last summer. However, Castles says other clubs will look to sign Fernandes at the end of this season if United do not capture him this month.

“Bruno wants to come there and as it stands I’m not hearing of any other club who are making an offer that would prevent United from taking the player.
“What I do know is that United have been warned that this is their opportunity to take him.
“They’ve been warned that there are other big clubs interested in Fernandes for the summer.
“Real Madrid had a long, hard look at taking him last summer and because they couldn’t move their own midfielders out, didn’t do that.

“There’s interest from Atletico Madrid, there may be other clubs potentially, and they’ve asked questions about Bruno.
“So United are being pressured here to say ‘You have your opportunity, Sporting will do the deal, the player will come, don’t wait on this one, make it happen in this window’ and you get a player who has a very impressive scoring record for Portugal, in the Portuguese league and a record of making assists.”
Former Manchester City manager Peter Reid reckons Fernandes would prefer to move to United over Premier League rivals Tottenham.
However, Reid says Fernandes is not the only signing United need to make this month.

“They need, for me, another centre-half, an exciting midfield player, one who can open it up, and I’ve got to say a frontman as well,” Reid said on beIN SPORTS.
“So there’s three there, so it’s very, very difficult, and where do you get them?”
Fernandes has scored eight goals and assisted seven in 15 Liga NOS appearances so far this season.
He has found the net on two occasions in 19 caps for Portugal.
