Man Utd would pay £70m for Jack Grealish says Agbonlahor
Jack Grealish has dropped a major hint he wants to join Manchester United this month. The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on Aston Villa’s skipper for several months, with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly a big fan of the midfielder.
A January move for the 24-year-old has been mooted, with it being claimed Solskjaer will test Villa’s resolve to retain their prized asset’s services in the coming weeks.
And the former England Under-21 international has fuelled speculation he could very leave Villa Park this month on Twitter.
Less than 12 hours after Villa were hammered 6-1 by defending Premier League champions Manchester City, Grealish liking and then unliking a tweet talking up a move to Old Trafford.
The tweet in question, which featured a picture of Grealish celebrating his goal at the Theatre of Dreams, came from Marwan Ahmed and read: “This, but in a red shirt @JackGrealish1.”

Eagle-eyed Villa fans quickly spotted their captain’s like and were quick to lambast him, with one supporter tweeting: “Not really the actions of a captain here Jack. Disappointing.”
Some of the Villa Park faithful, however, didn’t begrudge Grealish for seemingly revealing his desire to join the Red Devils.
“I don’t blame him he doesn’t deserve us,” tweeted a dejected Villan.
Villa are hellbent on keeping Grealish at the club, with manager Dean Smith recently saying: “He’s Villa through and through.
“He’s now performing on the biggest stage he can in the Premier League for Aston Villa. He’s playing well, scoring goals, creating assists and it’s a club he loves.
“He signed a new deal at the start of last season, we’ve got two very wealthy owners who want to build the team around Jack.
“They can keep linking him, but this is the one club he loves and that’s probably the most important thing."
“He’s a big target for many teams,” Smith said of Grealish, who has scored eight goals and provided six assists this season, earlier this month.

“Our owners are very ambitious in establishing us as a top Premier League club; to do that you need to keep your best players. People can keep looking but they can’t touch.
“We want to keep our best players and he’s showing he’s one of the best in the Premier League.”
Former Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor can foresee Grealish leaving the club if they fail to beat the drop this season, telling Stadium Astro: “It’s a tough one but Villa’s owners have come out and said they want to keep spending.
“This season, they’ve got a squad together, lost a lot of players in the summer - stay up, that’s the only goal, then they’ll go again in the summer.

"If they go down, I think he’ll leave. If they stay up, it could be 50-50. If Villa go out there and spend another £100m maybe…
“If they go out and spend, he’s getting better players around him. I know him, he won't want to leave. He’s the captain.”
Grealish and his Villa team-mates will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, travelling to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton.
Manchester United, meanwhile, will travel to Anfield to take on their bitter rivals and runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.
