The Red Devils boss knows that he needs to improve his defence, after shipping three goals in the first-half to rivals Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
United have only kept one clean sheet in the league since their 1-0 win against Leicester City in mid-September.
Meanwhile, despite West Ham’s comparatively lower league position, Diop has seen the Hammers keep four clean sheets over the same period.

West Ham signed Diop from French Ligue 1 side Toulouse in 2018 for £23m.
He was a staple of part of Manuel Pellegrini’s team last season, making 33 Premier League appearances, scoring a single goal.
This campaign, he’s already made 15 league appearances, starting all of West Ham’s first 13 matches.
But, he was left out of David Moyes’ squad to face Sheffield United on Friday night.
