Rangers are reportedly lining up a bid for Kent, who scored six times in 27 appearances last year, registering four assists in the process.
Kent also scored a high-profile goal in a 2-1 loss to Celtic in the Old Firm Derby toward the end of the season as Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premiership.
If Kent stays at Liverpool, it’s unlikely he’ll see any first-team game time, with manager Jurgen Klopp already maintaining a queue of attacking players in his side.
Football Insider say that Rangers are preparing a loan-to-buy bid which would include the obligatory option to permanently sign Kent for £6million at the end of the season.

That fee would be the most that Rangers have spent since the £5.8m they splashed on Mikel Arteta in 2002.
Liverpool are holding out for £10m, however, and have made clear to Rangers they would prefer to sell this summer, rather than sanction another loan deal.
Kent has played mainly for the Reds’ Under-23s side but was not in the team that lost to Chelsea on Monday.
