Man Utd told who they should have signed instead of Harry Maguire as Liverpool claim made
MANCHESTER UNITED should have attempted to sign Matthijs de Ligt instead of the more expensive Harry Maguire, claims former Red Devils striker Alan Brazil.

“I was really hoping he was going to come to, well, I was going to say Liverpool must have been interested, with Van Dijk alongside him,” Brazil said on talkSPORT.
“Play together in the national side don’t they for Holland.
“Or Manchester United, could they have not gone in there with £67.5m?
“This is the point I want to make.

“This is nothing to do with Harry Maguire – I like Harry Maguire big style as a player – but they are talking about £75m-£80m for Harry who is 26 and De Ligt is 20 next month but he goes for just £67.5m…”
Former England and Nottingham Forest defender Stuart Pearce was working alongside Brazil on Thursday.
And Pearce admits the price tag of De Ligt was a surprise considering how much United spent on right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and how much they have been quoted for Maguire.
“We covered the Nations League in the summer and this kid, how he’s only gone for £67.5m, I’m not sure,” Pearce said.
