Man Utd chief Ed Woodward to move quickly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer target for one reason
MANCHESTER UNITED executive vice-chairman reportedly knows he has to move quickly if he wants to bring Ole Gunnar Solskjaer target Sean Longstaff to Old Trafford.
Abu Dhabi-based billionaire Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan is reportedly in talks to take over at St James’ Park.
Should a deal be sorted, the Premier League club would be under no pressure to sell.
United hope a bid in the region of £25million would be enough, as it stands, to lure Longstaff to Old Trafford
The midfielder is a Newcastle fan and recently insisted his focus is just on the Magpies.

He said: "I’m massively flattered to have my name even mentioned in those conversations, but I’m 100 per cent focused on Newcastle.
"I’ve always wanted to play for Newcastle and I’ve only had a little taste of that so for me, it’s about getting fit as soon as I can and getting back on the pitch for Newcastle and making more memories of the future."
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez’s future is also up in the air and that could play a big part in Longstaff’s decision making.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is focusing on bringing fresh talent to Old Trafford despite a number of rumours linking United to bigger names.
The Norwegian recently said: “It’s a great challenge, but it’s a great responsibility as well, because this club is huge and the media and everyone’s criticising us as soon as they’ve got a chance,” Solskjaer said.

“We’ve just got to stick together, know that we’ve been through tough and difficult periods before.
“We will come through it again as a team. We’ve got to do it together.
“We’ve got to recruit smart, we’ve got to keep blooding the youngsters and we’ll be fine.
“I love young players who want to improve and have no fear whatsoever and I’ve looked at the Reserves and Under-18s this year and of course there are talents there that will stay at this club for so many years.”
