Philippe Coutinho quit Liverpool for Barcelona nearly 18 months ago, moving to the Nou Camp in a £146million transfer deal that saw him become the world’s third most-expensive player in history.
At the time of his exit, many were surprised that Klopp had agreed to let him go.
In the summer of 2017, Liverpool had fought tooth and nail to keep hold of the Brazil international, with Barcelona failing on three separate occasions.
But just months later he was gone with the Reds using funds from his exit to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
