The 46-year-old spoke out after the two men weighed themselves live on the ITV breakfast show and shook on a wager to slim down.
The strange and awkward scenes all started when Piers, 52, made a dig at Lord Sugar, 70, after asking him: “Are you chunking up a bit?”
“He’s a nice chap, isn’t he?” Lord Sugar hit back, adding: “I’ve put on about 18 pounds.”
Piers seemed shocked as he gasped: “Are you?” The Apprentice star was annoyed by his response and explained: “I over indulged a bit over the summer.”
Susanna was left stunned by the topic of conversation, asking someone off-camera: “Is it appropriate to ask someone about their weight on television?”
But Piers did not stop as he nettled the business magnate further, leading Lord Sugar to snap: “Never you mind about me. Pot kettle. Social media - I saw you prancing around looking like a beached whale.”

What’s going on with all this mutual fat-shaming? I feel a little bit uncomfortable
“What’s going on with all this mutual fat-shaming? I feel a little bit uncomfortable,” Susanna warned them.
She was ignored as Lord Sugar addressed Piers: “I’ll tell you what we’ll do. Have you got a set of scales?”
The veteran broadcaster made one last-ditch attempt to rein in the conversation: “Are we seriously going to have a weigh off?”

Susanna was overruled as Lord Sugar said: “I’ll weigh in, you’ll weigh in and we’ll come back when The Apprentice final is on in December and we’ll see who’s lost the most? I know your wife Celia wants you to.”
“Let’s make this interesting. I’ll bet you £5,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital that I’ll loose more than you,” Piers told him as the two men shook hands on the deal.
Later on in programme the duo were weighed after some problems with the scales.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
