Rylan's mum says he wouldn't ever sing at Glastonbury

Rylan Clark was lost for words after his mum brutally shut him down on Celebrity Gogglebox. The TV presenter, 35, was joined by his beloved mum, Linda Clark, on Friday's edition (July 5) of the Channel 4 programme.

The mother-son duo sat down to watch a number of different shows, including Love Island, The Yorkshire Vet and ITV news. They also watched footage from Glastonbury Festival, which took place last weekend.

The celebrities saw Shania Twain take to the infamous stage as she performed her smash hit, 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman!'. As the song came to a close, former X Factor star Rylan said: "Imagine performing at Glastonbury."

To which Linda bluntly responded: "Well you'll never know, will you?" Lost for words, Rylan stared at his mum as she added: "You really think you'll be up there? I doubt it. Unless you did a duet with someone."

The ex-This Morning presenter hit back: "Well it's nice to see you've got faith in me." It comes after Country pop legend Shania was plagued by sound issues during her Glastonbury set.

The 58-year-old belted out her other hits, including the 1997 song, 'That Don't Impress Me Much'. During her performance on Sunday evening (June 30), sympathetic listeners took to X to share their frustration over the repeated technical issues.

They begged for someone to "rescue" the Canadian singer, writing: "What is going on with the sound for Shania Twain?! She's really struggling. This is absolutely dreadful."

Another pointed out the "utterly horrific sound mix" as a third added: "The sound at Glastonbury has been terrible on BBC, Cyndi [Lauper] yesterday and now Shania?"

Canadian singer-songwriter Lindsay Ell was on stage with Shania during her set and opened up about the sound issues. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Lindsay dismissed the technical difficulties as something that a seasoned pro has no fears about.

She said: "Sometimes when there is a live broadcast, there are just so many moving pieces, and especially when you're putting so many bands on one stage so quickly that we don't have time to do the same sound checks and set up that we do on a normal show."

The 35-year-old added: "I just thought Shania handled it like a pure pro. She obviously is a legend in her own right and has done this for so long and is a true veteran in these things."
