The Grand Tour star confessed to hosts Holly Willoughy and Phillip Schofield that he has received a stern warning from his partner to be more careful at work but insisted he wouldn't give up his dream job.
Speaking about his injuries after his car rolled down a Swiss hillside, he revealed: "When the car touched down it smashed the bottom bit of my knee.
"They told me I've lost 7mm of height. I can't be losing that."
A shocked Holly asked: "So are you uneven?"

Richard, 47, laughed: "Yes. No, no, I can't be running in circles for the rest of my life."
Phillip went on to ask how his co-stars Jeremy Clarkson and James May had reacted when they heard what happened.
"They wept," the motorist admitted. "Apparently neither of them have slept and I get a lot of calls and texts from both of them."
The This Morning presenter quizzed: "Really?" as Richard quipped back: "No, come on. They saw the contract going off the hill… look at the legal work."
