Vicar thrilled as phallic statue collection gets HUGE valuation on Antiques Roadshow
ANTIQUES Roadshow viewers were left in stitches after a vicar brought in a "mucky congregation-offending" statue to be valued.
Vicar removes statue as silhouette offends congregation
On location at Baddesley Clinton near Warwick, the vicar brought a collection of statues of saints from St Mary Magdalen church in nearby Coventry to be valued by expert Philip Mould.
The vicar revealed one of the statues, of St George killing a dragon, had been causing consternation among her parishioners.
Examining the oddly-shaped piece, Philip exclaimed: "Ah I see he's wrestling with it [the dragon]."
Philip then cheekily asked the vicar how the statue "went down" with the congregation.

The vicar replied: "It caused a bit of concern when it's silhouetted against a window.
"He's been relegated to the organ loft nowadays"
In all it was a successful trip for the vicar as the whole collection was valued at £50,000. However the problematic St George was only valued at £2,000 to £3,000.
Fans of the show found the whole thing hilarious, taking to Twitter to express their delight.
