The 24-year-old was brought back to the competition as this year's wildcard act but was given the boot after failing to impress in the sing-off against former backing singer Anton Stephans.
After a bizarre gaffe by host Olly Murs, who prematurely seemed to confirm Monica's exit, the singer turned to her fellow X Factor stars and yelled: "Class of 2015 X Factor - BANG, BANG, BANG."
The camera then awkwardly turned away to pan out to the audience. But despite producer's best efforts, Monica's shots were caught by eagle-eyed viewers who were quick to slam the star on Twitter.
One viewers candidly wrote: "Monica Michael shouts bang bang bang & gun motion, bet she wished she could jump through her hooped ear rings into the abyss #XFactor #oops".

Another chipped in, adding: "Monica Michael saying "bang bang" with gun fingers after Simon changed all songs to do with guns because it's inconsiderate."
More called the North London starlet an "idiot" while others labelled her an "absolute disgrace".
Monica swiftly apologised for her "insensitive" display.
I want to apologise for any offence caused on the @TheXFactor tonight. I wasn't thinking beyond the moment & it was insensitive, sorry.

The youth worker has since apologised for her display
The social worker was already forced to change her song from Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang (He Shot Me Down) on Saturday night in wake of the devastating attacks in the French capital as the body count continued to climb over the weekend.
The X Factor head honcho, Simon Cowell even paid respect to the thousands effected by the attacks, telling viewers: "In light of what happened last night we would like to send our thoughts and our prayers to anyone who was affected in Paris last night. And most importantly, stay safe."
The X Factor continues this Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
