Meghan Markle's brutal move which left Royal Family 'heartbroken'

Sky News Australia star host Samara Gill has criticised Meghan Markle for causing “heartbreak” to the Royal Family by doing one thing. The presenter slammed the Duchess of Sussex for continuing to use her royal title.

She told her co-star Danica De Giorgio live on air that Meghan is "obsessed" with the "cash grab" from using the accolades. She raged: "I think that she is desperate. I think she does want the validation, but she also wants to continue to coast off, you know, the royal titles. I think that’s been one of the most damning and heartbreaking things for the Royal Family to have to witness, you know, her secretly using some of the titles and letterheadings and then them finding out about it because she's sent a fruit parcel to a podcaster friend."

Samara went on: "She’s obsessed with the Royal Family, and she’s obsessed with the cash grab that she can make off it.

"She wants to foray back into the Royal Family, but in a way where she can have her cake and eat it too."

Fans quickly commented on the report, which was shared to YouTube. One person wrote: "The Royal family and British Parliament should have removed Harry and Meghan’s titles YEARS AGO!"

Another echoed: "Heartbroken? Are you kidding? Grow some backbone, Charles, and take those titles away!" A third agreed: "Oh, boo hoo!!!! She CHOSE to LEAVE!! No title for you!!!! She does NOT represent the Royal Family!!!!!"

Someone else commented: "Yes, why do they still have those titles??? She even stole the queen's name. Give us peace and remove the titles, please!!!"

However, one viewer backed Harry and Meghan writing: "I don't think it's a case of W&K having stood by him, it's because he loves and trusts them. Samara made that sound so cold and political. Further than that, there was NOTHING new here.

"Where did the 'heartbroken' story come from? It's b*llsh*t. They WERE heartbroken in the beginning, maybe, but it quickly became shock, then anger, and now "nothing". I want to know who told who the heartbroken description."

Someone else added: "Girls, educate yourselves! Megan has never, never had the title of Princess! She is Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. For the time being anyway."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020, however, despite a mutual agreement not to use their royal titles for commercial gain, they still retain them.

During an interview while on a recent trip to Ukraine, Harry rejected claims that he is “not a working royal”.

Harry told ITV that he will always be part of the Royal Family and continue public service work.

He claimed that he sees himself as continuing the work he was “born to do,” saying he values humanitarian trips, the people he meets, and the ability to draw attention to issues that fall out of the news cycle when other events dominate.
