Fans of Good Morning Britain fumed that the ITV breakfast show had "hit a new low" on Monday. They slammed presenter Kate Garraway for talking about her own life before important news matters.

Complaints flooded social media as the 58-year-old TV host shared that she had found frog spawn in her garden pond, and happily announced that the show would be welcoming an expert to talk about the matter. While she was delighted to give viewers an insight into her home life, those watching seemed to be less than impressed as some admitted to "switching off". Taking to X/Twitter, one disgruntled fan fumed: "#GMB I seriously cannot believe you are allowing Kate to talk s*** about frog spawn. This is absolutely a new low, what an utter joke, get yourselves sorted out and pack this crap in!"

One more echoed: "#GMB a feature on frog spawn in Kate's garden? Are you f***ing kidding me? No one cares, she's not the nation's sweetheart - we do not care about her self-obsession!"

And a third posted: "Ah yes, instead of talking about the Middle East we have Garraway talking about her frog spawn as if it's breaking news. #gmb #goodmorningbritain."

One more added: "Switching off. Not listening to that Brand and Kate used to be a great presenter but, wow, how awful you’ve become #gmb."

Recently, Kate was forced to issue an apology to Keir Starmer after making a major U-turn error.

Ministers announced that Local Government Secretary Steve Reed had decided to withdraw his decision to postpone 30 council elections this May, “in the light of recent legal advice”.

The postponements had been intended to help deliver a major reorganisation of local authorities, but Reform UK challenged the move in court. The Government has not agreed to pay Reform's legal costs. This marks Labour’s 14th major U-turn since Starmer was elected Labour Leader in 2024.

As they discussed the latest news on the show, Kate accidentally stumbled on her stats live on air. She said: "Sorry, some papers are saying 14, some are saying 15. I'm trying to be kind to the government!"
