'Gripping' Sky series with new season coming soon is loved by Stephen King
A little-known TV series has been branded one of the greatest programmes on television, with even horror author Stephen King giving it his seal of approval.

Your next television obsession could well be this compelling Sky drama. Streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney+ have made it simpler than ever to discover fresh TV series and films to devour over the weekend, yet with such an overwhelming array of options available, it can prove difficult to distinguish the dreadful programmes from the hidden gems.
Social media is awash with television enthusiasts sharing their recommendations for series they believe others should watch, and one recent post shone a spotlight on a little-known Sky series that is frequently "overlooked", yet is an absolute masterpiece, and is ideal for devotees of iconic programmes such as Lost.
In a Reddit post shared on the TV suggestions forum, one user asked for recommendations of shows that "hooked" people faster than they thought they would. The shows must "grab your attention within the first episode or two", and must be "way more binge-worthy" than people anticipated.
Among the most highly recommended suggestions was an obscure science-fiction horror series called From.
The programme aired in the UK on Sky Sci-Fi, and is currently available to stream via Sky's on-demand service, Now. Across the Atlantic, however, the show broadcast on a platform called Epix (which subsequently rebranded as MGM+), a service largely unfamiliar to many viewers, meaning it failed to attract the audience it might have garnered had it launched on a more prominent platform.
But those who tuned in "couldn't get enough" and have hailed it as one of the finest programmes on television, particularly for fans of enigmatic classics such as Lost.
One viewer remarked: "I kept hearing good things about From. It was this low-budget show on a weird streaming service, but people who watched it couldn't get enough. I'd describe it as Lost with more of a horror twist. Not overly scary though. It got me instantly, and I just constantly want to know more."
Another contributed: "From is a great suggestion and perhaps overlooked," to which the original commenter replied: "It's a great show, but I get that it's overlooked. It's tough when it's on such an obscure platform."
A separate Reddit thread discussing the series also draws comparisons to Lost, with viewers revealing they are eagerly anticipating the forthcoming season having devoured all three series to date.
One user wrote: "I am absolutely in love with this show. I started watching it with my sister and brother-in-law. They're hooked. We watch all the new episodes together now. The next season won't be out for a whilst, but we're anxiously waiting. Best show in a long time to come out."

Another enthusiast added: "Best horror series I have ever watched, even better than The Strain. Give it time, you'll be hooked!"
From chronicles the tale of a family who find themselves in a nightmarish town that ensnares those who venture in. The reluctant inhabitants of the town are terrorised by horrifying monsters at night, and they must unite to discover a means of escaping the town whilst also battling to survive the creatures that hunt them.
The series features Harold Perrineau as Boyd Stevens, the self-appointed sheriff and leader of the town, alongside Eion Bailey as Jim Matthews, the father of the family who arrives in the town at the beginning of the programme, and Catalina Sandino Moreno as Jim's wife, Tabitha Matthews.
And if the enthusiastic reviews of Reddit users don't persuade you, the programme even has the seal of approval from horror icon Stephen King, who previously commended it on X.
In a post discussing the early episodes of the programme, he wrote: "From: I'm three episodes in. Wonderful concept, beautifully handled. Is it possible these people are dead and don't know it? That spike through the head ... holy cow."
Seasons 1-3 of From are currently available to stream on Now, and episodes can be purchased on YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. The fourth season is set to air in April 2026.
