Moment Donald Trump ‘freezes’ live on Fox News as fans say ‘we need a doctor’
The US president appeared to lose track of his words as he branded Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell a "stiff".

Fox News was airing a Donald Trump press conference live on the channel when the US president appeared to “freeze” and lose track of what he was saying. Trump was discussing the interest rates cut, which has lowered borrowing costs in the United States for the third time in 2025, but blasted the Chair of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell as he did so.
Known as the “Fed Chair”, Powell ruled out the need for immediate tax hikes, but it still wasn’t enough for Trump, who announced: “We’re scheduled to be at 4%, which is pretty amazing because we have a, er, you know, a dead head- fed… fed hair… I mean, this guy… the head of the Federal Reserve is a stiff.”
Instead of saying “Fed Chair”, he repeatedly said “Fed Hair”, and called him a “dead head”.

The viral moment drew concerns from fans, with one X user tweeting: “If only we had a real physician to give us a real health report!”
Someone else said: “Jerome Powell, a Republican that Trump appointed, is a stiff?”
“Says the guy who supposedly aced the cognitive tests!” a third echoed.
A fourth social media user posted: “Does he ever hear himself speak?”

It comes after Trump appeared to confirm he has undergone more cognitive testing via a post on Truth Social. He said: “In addition to the medical, I have done something that no other president has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a cognitive examination.”
He insisted publications like The New York Times are “pretending” that he is “slowing up, am maybe not as sharp as I once was, or am in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true, and knowing that I work very hard.
“I will know when I am ‘slowing up’, but it’s not now!” he concluded.
