Strictly Come Dancing fans fume as week four result leaks with unexpected star gone

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are all abuzz with the same reaction as week four spoilers emerged online and it's safe to say they "weren't expecting" the outcome.

Every Saturday, an insider from the Strictly studios leaks the results to the website StrictlySpoiler.com, managed by Dave Thorp. Since the results episode is taped immediately after Saturdays live show rather than being conducted live the following day, its accuracy is typically on point.

The production deploys significant efforts to conceal the fact that the results programme is actually filmed on the same day, including a complete wardrobe makeover for the stars and references to "yesterday" and "last night" peppered throughout the broadcast.

Despite standard warnings to viewers from the blog to direct their "complaints to the BBC" followers were unable to keep quiet after learning of who faced elimination and the eventual dismissal from the competition, taking to social media to express their opinions.

On X, one fan wrote: "Just seen the Strictly spoiler and tbh was not expecting that. Seems unfair," reports the Mirror.

Another shared the sentiment, saying: "I was about to be disappointed that there was no Strictly spoiler but then Dave came through!"

Meanwhile, another spectator expressed approval of the outcome: "I agree with the result. The right couple was saved."

This was reinforced by another commenter who felt it was the "Right choice to go."

This gossip cascade followed an initial delay in the spoiler leak on Saturday night (October 12), causing concern among avid spectators. Dave gave a heads up: "Just a heads up that it could be very late with the spoiler tonight or even tomorrow as no moles have come forward as yet."

The mole hunter warned: "No moles never means no spoiler and I will post the spoiler as soon as I know so no need to bombard me with messages on the socials asking if I've heard yet!"

It has been reported that the BBC is trying to put a stop to the spoiler, with an insider saying: "Enough is enough, it isn't fair on the fans, they look forward to tuning in to see who will be dancing together."

Last night's leaderboard had Dr Punam Krishan and her partner Gorka Marquez at the bottom, while DIY SOS star Nick Knowles came in second to last with a score of 21.

Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec topped the leaderboard with an impressive 39 points, closely followed by Jamie Borthwick and Wynne Evans with 34 points.
