Strictly fans rejoice as 'right result' of week four elimination results leaked

Just moments after the Strictly Come Dancing contestants took the dancefloor, the next celebrity to be eliminated was unveiled.

The result of the dance-off, filmed straight after Saturday's live show (October 12), won't officially be announced until Sunday night (October 13).

Despite the BBC's efforts to keep the results secret for 24 hours, the identity of the axed pairings have been leaked online every Saturday since 2012.

This has previously upset the Strictly team, leading to judge Anton Du Beke suggesting it is "ruining" the show for devoted fans.

This week was no different as the name of the celebrity leaving this weekend was leaked online, although Express.co.uk have decided not to reveal which couple were given the boot.

The spoiler source wrote: "With movie week a distant memory, the next major milestone our 13 remaining couples are aiming for is Halloween. But there's still a few weeks until we go trick or treating.

"The BBC might want you to wait to learn the results but I'm happy to tell you the identity of latest couple who has left the Strictly ballroom."

The leak sparked a storm of outrage, as many took to social media to air their frustrations with the results online. Others slammed the account for ruining the element of surprise one day before its dedicated show.

Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - one user fumed: "Thank god for the judges!!" as another agreed: "Oh this scoring is all over the place tonight #Strictly."

Meanwhile, a third chimed in with: "Wow I was surprised to see them in the dance off but the booted star was the right choice to go" as another added: "I agree with the result. The right couple was saved."

Last weekend’s Movie Night ended with mixed reactions as Olympian Tom Dean was eliminated from the competition.

Alongside his partner Nadiya Bychkova, the pair found themselves in the bottom two and performed The Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire for a second time.

Meanwhile, Toyah Wilcox and her dance partner, Neil Jones reprised their jive to Nutbush City Limits by Ike & Tina Turner.

After the judges voted to save Toyah, the athlete reflected on his Strictly journey and said: “I've had the best time the last few weeks and getting to work with Nadiya has been incredible.”
