Strictly's Chris McCausland had a simple plea for pro partner Dianne Buswell to dial down the pace with a slower tune. However, she swiftly rejected this request.

Following an intense Salsa that left Chris gasping and soaked with perspiration, host Claudia Winkleman quizzed him: "Is it 'true' that after last week, Chris was like, 'Darling, can we have a slow song please?' And then that happened! How did you find it?"

Chris disclosed: "I thought anything would be easy after last week, but it's just been a continuation. They say Strictly is meant to make me feel fitter I feel like I've fallen off a horse and been dragged three miles."

Probing further, Claudia asked: "You didn't make it easy, Dianne?" to which she responded: "Yeah we don't make it easy. I mean, I trust Chris with all my heart and likewise, right Chris?"

In laughter, Chris admitted: "Yeah. I mean... Every week I say to you, 'Are you sure?'", reports the Mirror.

Chris, who has captured hearts as the show's first ever blind contestant, is fast becoming a front-runner to clinch the glitterball trophy. One viewer, moved to tears by his performance, wrote: "I'm in actual tears at that salsa!"

Another viewer concurred: "Yessssss Chris, it's mad how good his lifts are, better than Jamie's tonight in my opinion."

An additional fan remarked: "I love Chris and I think he's incredible, anyone who fails to think that needs to put a blindfold on and try just standing still let alone moving around a room and then dancing! How he's doing what he's doing is mind blowing, Diane is an amazing teacher."

Viewers were left puzzled over a "disturbing" mistake in the recent episode of Strictly Come Dancing, involving an odd sight amongst the audience. Two pairs of legs were oddly highlighted and visible for the length of the programme, placed right behind the judging panel amidst blue strobe lighting.

The disruptive spectacle prompted one viewer to comment: "Rather unfortunate positioning of two lady audience members on Strictly Come Dancing tonight. Looks like the loo door has been left open."

Another remarked: "The legs on show behind the judges were distracting!" Another fan shared their confusion: "My husband thought it was the Halloween show and that this was some bizarre set decoration," while an irritated viewer expressed: "I'm glad it wasn't just me: annoyed me all evening!"

So far, the series has witnessed the departure of Toyah Willcox and Olympic hero Tom Dean from the dance floor. The latest betting odds now spell trouble for Paul Merson following his appearance in the previous week's dance-off.

Meanwhile, Nick Knowles had to sit out the last live show due to a severe double injury, but he is poised to return to the competition following his recovery period.
