Good Morning Britain viewers said the same thing as Susanna Reid returned to the ITV programme on Monday (September 9). The 53-year-old was on screen alongside Ed Balls as they shared the latest headlines with viewers across the country.

This is Susanna's second week back following her lengthy break for the summer holidays. Shortly after the programme kicked off, Susanna took to X with a selfie of her and Ed. "MORNING!" she captioned the post.

The image garnered plenty of attention from fans who flocked to the comments, with several viewers welcoming Susanna back with open arms.

One wrote: "Morning Susanna great to see you back Missed you last week as I was on holiday. Hope you had a good summer break with your children."

A second commented: "Good Morning Susanna, its so great to see your beautiful self presenting with Ed this Monday morning, always great to watch GMB when ever i can get a chance to watch. It's always best in morning TV."

"Good Morning @susannareid100 & @edballs have lovely Monday," added another fan. A fourth shared: "Good morning Susanna happy new week." Kickstarting the week, Susanna found herself in a bitter clash with Dame Diana Johnson over the winter fuel payment cuts.

The Labour MP repeatedly explained how it was a "difficult" decision for the government to make, however said they had no choice due to the actions of the previous government.

"On behalf of our viewers, can you stop saying it's a difficult decision," Susanna demanded. "You've made this particular choice, you didn't find it difficult because you made it."

Later in the interview, Susanna said: "Can you stop saying it's a difficult decision," however, Johnson reaffirmed: "It's a hard decision. It's a really hard decision," adding that it needs to be done because Rachel Reeves has identified a "£22 billion black hole" that needs to be filled.

Susanna officially returned to Good Morning Britain on September 2, having been absent from the programme since mid-July. The mum-of-three was due to host three shows upon her return, however, she was forced to pull out of presenting the following day.

Ranvir Singh stepped in for Susanna and explained why her co-star was absent before the show got underway.

The Loose Women star said: "If you're wondering where Susanna is, one of her boys has been taken ill overnight and she needed to stay with him, so we are here for you this morning."
