A Coronation Street star has shared some big news, revealing he's become a "young dad."

Actor Luca Toolan first graced our screens as the bully Mason Radcliffe in 2023, and he quickly became a central figure in the soap's drama.

His character was responsible for terrorising Maria Connor's (played by Samia Longchambon) young son, Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall), to the point where Liam contemplated suicide.

In April, Mason found himself in a Young Offenders centre after threatening Liam with a knife, with Dylan courageously testifying against him during the trial. However, by July, Mason was back on the streets, causing a stir and leaving Liam and Dylan unsettled.

Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows), however, has shown sympathy towards Mason, securing him a job at his restaurant and insisting that Mason is attempting to reform. Mason has also formed a bond with Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), the daughter of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Off-screen, Luca recently shared some exciting personal news with his followers. On his TikTok account, he announced a new addition to his family, reports the Mirror.

Luca shared a series of intriguing snaps on social media, starting with a photo of himself in a university lecture hall saying: "Finding out I was going to be a young dad was scary."

He then posted an image outdoors suited up in a harness cradling a dog, adding: "But being a dog dad wasn't scary it's amazing."

He followed with a cute picture of the pup, inviting followers to "Give me name some suggestions," which promptly set off a flurry of responses from excited fans.

Bemused comments flooded in, with one fan admitting: "I got confused for a second there." A second wrote: "No because before I swiped I was so confused I thought I missed a load of chapters."

Another exclaimed: "You know how to get peoples attention with that first caption," while a fourth confessed: "Not me actually thinking you're becoming a dad."
