Coronation Street has confirmed who DS Swain’s mystery daughter is - and it’s not looking good for the teenager.
It was confirmed last month that the copper’s teenage daughter will be introduced on the soap. Swain star Vicky Myers teases that the youngster is "feisty, opinionated and educated".
Since then, Swain managed to get her daughter work experience at Carla Connor’s (Alison King) factory. And next week, the teenager’s storyline begins - when she starts work at Underworld.
But during Friday’s episode (June 28) the identity of her daughter was revealed.
During the instalment, DS Swain headed to a park where she greeted her daughter Betsy. The pair clashed - and Swain demanded that she get in the car to go home.
The reveal will come as a shock to fans as the youngster actually appeared on screens this week. Betsy is good friends with Sabrina - who sicko solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) is trying to groom.
Fans will recall Joel is behind Lauren Bolton’s disappearance, and during Monday episode (June 24) Joel took Sabrina out for coffee - where he tempted her with alcohol.
Trying to impress Sabrina, Joel left her flattered as he told her she reminded him of an ex and that he was "punching" with his former partner.

Sabrina’s pal, now known as Betsy, soon pointed out how Joel was a creep and that she should stay clear. She took his card and pretended to chuck it away - only to actually keep it.
Later on, though, Betsy confronted Joel and attempted to blackmail him. Warning she has a “big gob” the newcomer threatened to expose Joel for his creepy behaviour.
And during Friday’s episode (June 28) Betsy turned up at Joel’s engagement party - demanding money. Startled, Joel ushered her out before handing over some cash.
Earlier this week, fans sussed that Sabrina’s mystery pal was Swain’s daughter. They also shared their fears that she could be Joel’s next victim.
One fan wrote on X: “Oh sh*t, Sabrina's mate is next #Corrie." Someone else added: "Sabrina's mate gonna come to a sticky end." A third agreed: “Sabrina's mate will be loel's next victim #Corrie."
