Prince Charles gets a bite out of Transylvania since he opened a B&B
PRINCE CHARLES is now more of a tourist attraction than his “ancestor” Count Dracula since he opened a B&B in Transylvania.
Holidaymakers who pay £35 a night to rent a house he bought in the Romanian village of Viscri for £10,000 seven years ago are said to be more interested in Charles than the Count.
The Royal Family’s bloodline has been linked to Vlad III, the Prince of Wallachia, known as Vlad the Impaler.
The tyrant was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Gothic horror novel Dracula.
Charles said recently: “The genealogy shows I am descended from Vlad the Impaler, so I have a bit of a stake in the country.”
