Although Kate occupies a unique position within the Royal Family as the Princess of Wales, it is said that her family and her husband, Prince William, like to keep things normal at home.

Back in 2019, she revealed on an official engagement that she regularly cooks with her children, which is a lot more normal than many people would imagine the future Queen to be.

There is also one very British meal that is claimed to be one of Prince William's favourites that Kate regularly makes for him - roasted chicken.

In 2012, royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair of Kate: "In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken."

This report in Vanity Fair came from a time when the couple were recently married and living in Wales. William and Kate lived on the Isle of Anglesey, or Ynys Môn, from 2010 to 2013, due to William's job as a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force (RAF).

Although roast chicken is William’s favourite, the Royal Family have been said to enjoy a variety of cuisines. During an outing to St Luke's Community Centre in London in 2018, Kate joined the kids as they created their pizzas.

She said about the experience: "I've done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy."

Kate and William were promoting the Commonwealth Big Lunch project at the time, where the royal duo were seen with their aprons on, preparing food. The Big Lunch project is an international celebration of the Commonwealth, encouraging people from across member states to join together in an act of community.

Like many Britons, the Prince and Princess of Wales also like to enjoy the odd takeaway, with two major favourites being an Indian or Chinese takeaway.

Back in 2017, William and Kate told BBC Radio 1 host Scott Mills that they are "absolutely" allowed to order. With Kate revealing that a "curry, definitely" is her favourite, William shared that he's "not so good with spice".

may have access to the best chefs and however, the royal is only human herself and she likes to get the occasional takeaway from time to time.

During an interview with her son Tom Parker Bowles for YOU Magazine, the Queen revealed her favourite takeaway is good old fish and chips.

She confessed: "Freshly cooked fish and chips, wrapped in paper. That smell. You cannot beat proper fish and chips."

It seems like Camilla shared a love for the same food with her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II. It had been previously reported the late Queen was .
