The Prince and Princess of Wales are tipped to spend their Saturday in the Cotswolds, after sources claimed they’ll attend the entirety of Peter Phillip’s wedding to Harriet Sperling. The royal wedding bells are ringing in Cirenchester, Gloucestershire, as official preparations are well underway.

Princess Anne’s son will tie the knot with his fiancée, NHS paediatric nurse Harriet, in a lavish ceremony at All Saints Church. The wedding ceremony will reportedly be followed by a reception at the Princess Royal’s home, Gatcombe Park.

While the official ceremony has not yet been confirmed, it is expected that several members of the Royal Family will attend the nuptials.

New reports claim that while the King and Queen will make a fleeting visit due to other engagements throughout the day, Prince William and Princess Catherine will attend both the ceremony and the reception.

According to the Daily Mail, a source said: “William and Catherine will be at the wedding ceremony and reception.”

The reason behind this is reportedly due to William’s wish to “make amends” for the fact that he failed to attend his cousin’s first wedding in 2008.

Catherine attended the 2008 wedding on her own, as the heir attended another wedding in Africa. It was the first time she met the late Queen Elizabeth, and a clear sign that she’ll get a proposal soon, according to reports.

Saturday’s nuptials will be the second time both Peter and Harriet are getting married.

Princess Anne’s son was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 to 2021. Meanwhile, Harriet was married to Antonio St. John Sperling.

The couple’s spokesperson previously said when announcing their wedding: “Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date.

“The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the wedding date by invitation.

“Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement. Further details will be announced in due course.”
