This weekend could be huge for Beatrice and Eugenie - but one mistake and they'll be axed

Beatrice and Eugenie could be about to walk into the royal spotlight again and Chris Riches says one wrong move could cost them everything they still have.

Will they or won't they? The mystery about whether Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will attend the royal wedding of the year is hotting up - and has huge consequences for the struggling siblings. On Saturday the Gloucestershire market town of Cirencester will be the place to be for royal watchers and fashionistas as Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips weds his fiancée Harriet Sperling at All Saints Church.

Cirencester lies on the River Churn, and the tributary's aptly named considering Beatrice and Eugenie have seen their lives vigorously spun upside down since their parents' past was laid bare by the Epstein Files. It is likely the world will not know if Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, are attending the do until they actually turn up (or don't) on the day - such has been the mixed messages from sources 'in the know'.

One minute it was claimed Harry and Meghan were not coming, and Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had not been invited - but the rest of the Royal Family was likely to be seen there.

Then, when Andrew reappeared in the headlines in recent days, it was claimed the daughters would not wish to cause any negative headlines by being 'Yorks at the nuptials' so would skip the bash.

Now, many experts are suggesting the Royal Family, feeling protective of the sisters, would encourage them to come so they could be supported by those closest to them.

But if they do end up going, they will feel the glare of the world's microscope on their demeanour and behaviour and want to keep a low profile - one mistake and they could be axed forever.

They certainly won't be dancing on tables, as Beatrice was seen to do last weekend at a friend, Lauren De Niro Pipher's 40th birthday party at the La Posta Vecchia hotel in Palo Laziale, Rome.

Photos shared on social media show a large group of partygoers enjoying celebrations - and in one picture, Beatrice can be seen in a floral Zimmerman dress, dancing on a table with pals.

I suppose it's only fair, Beatrice lets her hair down.

She and Eugenie have been suffering ever since the New Year brought them new agony with the US Department of Justice's release of millions of documents relating to dead financier and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Some emails named the sisters in passing and certainly nothing at all indicates any wrongdoing or inappropriate behaviour on their part, only perhaps poor judgement.

Such as when they joined their mother, Fergie, on a flight to the US to see Epstein following his release from serving a prison sentence for procuring a minor for prostitution.

Instead, the sisters have been humiliated by their parents in the Epstein Files, such as Fergie revealing to the now-dead US pervert that Eugenie was busy away romping.

In 2010, when Epstein asked if she would visit him in New York City, Ferguson replied: "Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!"

Last month, Thames Valley Police said their investigation into 66-year-old ex-prince Andrew, which has been ongoing since he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February, will probe all types of misconduct, including any sexual misconduct allegations. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.

But the storm clouds that still hang over Andrew and Fergie still overshadow their daughters and leave them in the gloom.

So until the storm clouds lift, Beatrice and Eugenie will naturally want to keep as low a profile as possible - or they could be frozen out for good.
