Meghan Markle posted two new pictures of Princess Lilibet to mark her fifth birthday today. The Duchess of Sussex took to her official Instagram account to share two new adorable snaps of her youngest child, with one of them featuring Prince Harry.

Meghan shared the message: "Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili." In the second picture, Lilibet is seen alone in a dress, while in the first, proud parents Harry and Meghan are seen embracing her.

The young royal's auburn locks are visible, and she's also wearing a gold bracelet on her left wrist.

Lilibet's face is not visible in any of the new photos.

It comes just hours after Meghan's spokesperson hit back at those criticising her for sharing images of her children online, and a few days earlier, she spoke of the dangers of social media for youngsters at a memorial in Switzerland.

Responding to the criticism, a spokesperson for the Duchess told Newsweek that there was a clear difference between sharing family moments and exposing children to unwanted public attention.

The spokesperson said: "The Duchess has always been clear that there is a distinction between sharing moments from her life and exposing her children to public scrutiny.

"By obscuring their faces, she is demonstrating the very principle she advocates for: giving children privacy, agency, and protection in an increasingly digital world."

They added: "Far from being contradictory, by concealing their faces she is actually reflecting the message she delivered in Geneva: that parents can choose to share family experiences while still taking deliberate steps to protect identities, privacy, and digital footprint."
