Princess Kate has proven time and time again that despite being a royal, she is just as devoted as any other mum.

Whether that be cooking homemade food for her children, taking them out to local events or spending time playing with them, it is very clear just how much the princess, 42, adores Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

However, while the children are mainly well-behaved in public at royal events, this does not mean that they don’t play up like every other child across the world can do behind closed doors.

While parents all have their own unique methods of dealing with this, the princess has a great parenting hack to help her kids resolve tension and arguments in a calm way.

According to The Mirror, when one of their children loses their temper, Kate and Prince William, 42, take them away for a "sofa chat".

This means that the children are encouraged to communicate their feelings and thoughts to help them understand why the situation happened, rather than being left to deal with the feelings alone.

The Mirror also said the couple have a “no shouting” rule in place, with the couple reportedly never raising their voices to their children.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are also encouraged not to raise their voices when bickering with each other.

This revelation comes after Prince William shared one of his parenting hacks during a royal public engagement on Tuesday in London.

William was handed three sports balls for his children, along with one for himself, so the family could practise sports in the garden together.

The prince could be heard saying: “Oh that’s very kind.

“Never go home empty-handed, that’s a crucial motto of being a parent. That’s really kind of you. Thank you very much. They’ll love that.”
