Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis's annual school fees will soon reach £79,387.20 a year, it has been reported.

The trio will return to Lambrook School today after spending their summer break at Balmoral with the rest of the Royal Family.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will incur a 20 percent increase in the children's school fees as part of a new VAT rule for private school fees as will all other parents at the school as the move will be implemented nationwide.

Prince Louis, who turned six earlier this year, is currently in reception year which has a fee of £5,434 a term and with a 20 percent VAT increase the Wales family will be paying an extra £1,000 a term. The increase will see the total for the entire school year go from £16,302 to £19,562.40.
