Prince George could attend the upcoming Euros in Germany as the young royal continues his preparations to one day become King.

He previously attended the Euros final at Wembley Stadium in 2021 with his parents - Princess Kate and Prince William - and speculation is rife as to whether he will also be in attendance this year.

The tournament kicked off on Friday with hosts Germany playing Scotland, and England's first game is set for later today against Serbia.

It has already been announced that Prince William will cheer on the England team at their fixture against Denmark on June 20 at Frankfurt Arena.

He visited the England squad earlier in the week before they headed to Germany, and told them Prince Louis offered the advice of "eating twice the amount you normally would eat".

He added: "So I then had visions of all of you running around with massive great tummies and loads of stitches on the pitch, so I think maybe take my youngest's advice with a pinch of salt."

It has not been revealed if Prince George will join his father on the trip to Germany, but the pair were in attendance at a recent sporting event. Prince William presented Manchester United with the FA Cup after the final at Wembley Stadium last month.

Royal experts have said Prince George will already be preparing to undertake his future role as King, and making an appearance at the Euros could be seen as one of these preparations.

A royal source recently told the Daily Mail that he, along with his siblings, is already comfortable in his role as a royal, which will make him a "great leader" one day.

They said: "George has turned into a confident little boy and loves meeting new people. They don’t get nervous in public and are already showing signs of becoming great leaders."

Prince George is now 10, but royal historian Robert Lacey claimed that he would have been made aware of his monumental future role by age seven.

He wrote in his book, Battle of Brothers: "William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son.

"But sometime around the boy’s seventh birthday in the summer of 2020, it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince’s life of future royal 'service and duty' would particularly involve."

It's expected that Prince George will become a full-time working royal by age 35, like his father, if not earlier.
