Prince Louis will attend Trooping the Colour today with his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Princess of Wales confirmed last night.

Kate shared a deeply moving statement where she opened up on her gruelling chemotherapy, telling the public that she has "good days and bad days".

But the royal confirmed that she will be making a return to the public eye and joining the rest of the Royal Family at the King's birthday parade today.

The six-year-old royal is a fan favourite, as he is known for pulling funny faces and getting up to cheeky antics when he's out and about at royal events.

Last year the whole Wales clan joined King Charles and Queen Camilla on the balcony, with Prince William and Princess Kate looking delighted to be with Louis and his older siblings.

As royal fans eagerly await to see the Wales family appear today, here Express.co.uk takes a look at some of Louis's best Trooping the Colour moments.

Prince Louis screaming with hands over ears

Prince Louis is beloved for his cheeky and headline grabbing antics at any royal occasion, and Trooping the Colour is certainly no exception.

Although the question of his attendance hangs in the balance for 2024, Express.co.uk is celebrating today's Colonel's Review by bringing our readers some of Louis' best moments at the monarch's official birthday over the three years that he has been there.

Prince Louis was first seen at Trooping the Colour back in June 2019, during the reign of his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

He would have been only 14 months old at the time, as he was born on April 23 2018.

Louis did not attend the celebrations just a few weeks after his birth as he was considered too young.

One of the key parts of the Trooping celebration is the RAF Red Arrows flypast, and little Louis seemed quite taken with the display despite his young age.

He even appears to be doing an impression of an aeroplane with his outstretched arms as mum Kate holds him in her arms here.

Perhaps even as a baby Louis was already working on his crowd-pleasing actions!

Prince William and Princess Kate looked thrilled to be able to bring their baby son to join in the festivities with the rest of his family.

Sadly the royals were not to know that 2019 would be the last proper Trooping celebration for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ceremony in 2020 was cancelled, replaced instead with a pared back Sovereign’s Birthday Parade at Windsor.

Then in 2021 a slightly more traditional but still subdued ceremony also took place at Windsor Castle.

The Wales family at Trooping the Colour 2022

The year 2022 was a particularly special one for the Royal Family, as Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, with Trooping the Colour being held to coincide with the weekend of festivities at the beginning of June.

For Louis it was also the moment he truly made his mark as the family joker, as his face-pulling and overall cheekiness made the occasion very entertaining for all royal watchers.
