Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned they may soon start facing questions from Princess Lilibet Diana on why their relationship with their families is so strained, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have effectively been estranged from their birth families for years, with Lilibet and older brother Prince Archie Harrison having little to no contact with the grandfathers.

Royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun: "The fact that they are still seven and eight in line to the throne is quite extraordinary.

"And you never know, one day they might actually be called into action to some degree. They might move up the scales so it's all hanging a bit by a thread.

"I think, when they get older, they're going to start asking questions and say, 'How did it come to this, that we haven't got a relationship with our grandparents or the Royal Family?'"

Meghan Markle warned of 'bitter pill' she'll need to swallow if Sussex titles are removed

Meghan Markle is set for a rude awakening if she and Prince Harry's royal titles were removed, a royal watcher has warned.

Speaking to GB News, royal and political commentator Lee Cohen asked: "With the turmoil he and his wife have created, and the anguish they have caused, isn't it high time their titles were removed?

Prince Harry has ‘little to do’ in US as he 'broods' for royal past

Prince Harry has "little to do" in the US other than "brood" over his past life in the Royal Family, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the Royal Family in 2020 to pursue a new life in the US.

Since then, Meghan Markle has led the way with various new projects – the latest being her new lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard.

But royal expert Tom Quinn suggests Harry may not be completely happy with his life in the States as he has "little to do".

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "Meghan appears to have moved on to some extent but then she was only part of the Royal Family for a relatively short time and she has far more to focus on in the States than her husband has."

On Meghan, he added: "She's the main driver for their commercial enterprises in the States, where, having taken the dog for a walk each morning, Harry has a little to do beyond brooding over the past."

Prince Harry clears way for Prince William to perform major role with 'diplomatic' move

Prince Harry has cleared the way for Prince William to perform a major role this week with a "diplomatic" move, it has been reported.

Despite being friends with the groom for many years, Prince Harry has chosen to step back and not attend the Duke of Westminster's wedding on June 7.

After a source previously claimed that the decision would come as a "shock" to the groom and the Royal Family, William is set to be an usher on Friday.

As reported by The Times, a source said: "It is understood that a civilised understanding was reached between the Duke [of Westminster] and Harry over the phone. It’s a long way to come from California, after all."

Sarah Ferguson makes 'thinly-veiled dig' at Meghan Markle with one move

Sarah Ferguson fans believe the Duchess of York made a "thinly-veiled dig" at Meghan Markle because of comments she made on a previous podcast episode on 'Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah'.

Fergie said she always told her daughters to "smile" when out in public and not to be grumpy. Advising her and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew's girls, she said: "I always say to my girls: when you're out on the public stage, smile. And if you don't want to be polite, don't go on the public stage - because no-one wants to see a grumpy princess. You've heard me say that many times."

However, the clip resurfaced just as Meghan was spotted looking sad when she was out and about after losing her Spotify deal last year and fans think she could have been referring to Meghan.

'Devastated' Harry's 'deepest upset' over rift with William exposed

Prince Harry is devastated over the estrangement from Prince William and his "deepest upset" over his two children stems from the fallout with his brother, claims one royal expert.

Despite the ongoing tensions between Prince Harry and the Royal Family, the 39-year-old has tried to mend fences with a visit to his father, King Charles, earlier this year following the reveal of his cancer diagnosis.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn said Harry's "upset" over his feud with the Firm has made him want better for his children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3 - especially when it comes to their relationship with their cousins.

Reason Royal Family won't mark Princess Lilibet's birthday today

The Royal Family's official social media channels and public communications may prioritise significant public events, official duties, and milestones over personal celebrations of extended family members.

In the past year alone, the Firm has chosen not to publicly mark the birthdays of non-working royals - such as Lilibet and her brother, Prince Archie.

Princess Lilibet, daughter of Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, is set to celebrate her third birthday tomorrow on Tuesday, June 4. She is most likely to mark her birthday at her home in California with her parents.

However, Harry and Meghan haven't publicly acknowledged their children's birthdays on social media for several years and royal fans will also notice that the Royal Family haven't either - according to US Weekly, the real reason is that there is "no protocol" to wish non-working members of the Firm birthday wishes.

Prince Harry's 'deepest upset' is his lack of relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis

A royal expert has described how Prince Harry is devastated to not have a relationship with his niece and nephews.

The Duke is still not on talking terms with Prince William and Kate after his acrimonious exit from the Royal Family in 2020.

As a result, Archie and Lilibet also have very little to do with their family back in the UK.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror: "We know that Harry's deepest upset concerns not just his lack of relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis, but also his own children's lack of a relationship with their cousins.

"Harry and Meghan would love to get around the problem - they would love it if the cousins could meet regularly and have a positive relationship as they grow up, but they cannot see a way to do it while they themselves, Harry and Meghan, are estranged. Harry has said that he hopes the cousins can at least be friends as adults."
