Reason King Charles 'hopes' Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue Netflix deal revealed
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's deal with Netflix is set to come to an end next year, but King Charles is hoping it continues, it's been claimed.
King Charles III is likely "hoping" that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's deal with Netflix continues for one major reason, a royal expert has claimed.
Meghan and Harry signed a five-year deal with the major streaming service in 2020, shortly after making the decision to step down as senior working royals.
Their lucrative deal is set to come to an end next year, but royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes King Charles is hoping it will be renewed to avoid further "exposés of royal life".
Speaking to the Mirror, Mr Fitzwilliams said that both the King and Prince William "no longer trust" Harry and Meghan.
He said: "It runs out next year and Netflix are no longer producing the series of The Crown, as they previously were. They might therefore have less interest in the Sussexes.

"If they lost this contract, with Archewell, their business and charitable foundation, having so few donors, they might well be in financial trouble.
"Since their exposés of royal life has made megabucks, but little else has made money, the Royal Family better hope that this unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious couple stays with Netflix."
Discussing the Sussexes and "trust" of the pair, Mr Fitzwilliams said: "After the Oprah interview, the Harry and Meghan Netflix documentary and the publication of Harry's memoir Spare, as well as the interviews he gave promoting it, the popularity of the Royal Family suffered and the Sussexes were considered to have gone rogue.
"The biggest casualty was trust. It is unsurprising that King Charles and Prince William no longer trust Harry and Meghan."
