Unlike her royal cousins, Princess Beatrice's daughter, Sienna, is actually eligible for a royal title, not because of the British Royal Family, but thanks to her dad, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Edoardo descends from Italian aristocracy — which means that Princess Beatrice became an Italian "Contessa" and "Nobile Donna," or noblewoman, after their magnificent July 2020 wedding.

The oldest son of Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo, will one day inherit his family's ancestral seat, the 18th-century Villa Mapelli Mozzi palace in northern Italy.

As reported in the Daily Mail, Edoardo's dad explained: "Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna."

Sienna was born on September 18, 2021 at 23.42pm at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London and weighed six pounds and two ounces.

A statement from Buckingham Palace read: "The new baby's grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news."

Writing from her official account, Princess Beatrice wrote: "We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi."

The names chosen by the doting parents for their first daughter together appeared to be paying tribute to both Edoardo and Beatrice's legacies. The baby's second name is a clear reminder of her ties with the Royal Family and pays homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Doting dad, Edoardo, last posted his daughter on his personal Instagram in a rare snap on her second birthday to mark the occasion. The image showed little Sienna, with her back to the camera, wearing a long-sleeved pink and red floral dress with a wide-brimmed straw hat.

When Beatrice, 35, and Edoardo, 40, married they had initially planned a much grander affair in London in May but lockdown meant it had to be cancelled and their big day scaled back.

Edo’s son, Christopher, from a previous relationship, nicknamed Wolfie, was Edo’s "mini-best man" and pageboy. Beatrice became the first "blood princess", born into her title – to be a stepmother.

Princess Beatrice's husband and his ex-partner, Dara Huang, have maintained a level of privacy when it comes to their son Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, eight, only sharing a handful of photos

Wolfie is rarely seen in public, but he attended the "Together At Christmas" Carol Service at Westminster Abbey alongside other members of the Royal Family in 2023.
