Meghan Markle didn't intend to stay in England after marrying into the Royal Family and always planned to go back to California, a royal expert has said.
Royal author Tom Bower told Express US: "She [Meghan] never intended to stay in England.
"She always intended to go back to California, and it served her very well."

"I mean, it lasts a day, two days, but there's no substance there."
The Sussexes wedded in May 2018 after dating for two years after going on their first date in 2016.
They stepped down as senior royals in January 2020 and moved to the US in March that same year, after living in Canada for a number of months.
Harry and Meghan attended the Invictus Games in Germany this week after the Duke made a brief visit back to the UK for the Well Child Awards, and to pay his respects to the Queen on the anniversary of her death.
Founded by the Duke of Sussex in 2014, the Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick soldiers and veterans.
The competition series highlights the heroes who serve and protect – and Harry and Meghan have played an integral role in bringing the event together.
After flying in earlier this week to meet Harry, Meghan attended an intimate party for the family and friends of the athletes on Tuesday and spent time watching the wheelchair basketball tournament with Harry on Wednesday.
The couple, who are reportedly staying in a £2,000-a-night Presidential Suite, are expected to remain in Germany until the weekend to celebrate Harry's 39th birthday.
