Prince William has 'behind-the-scenes' World Cup chat with Gareth Southgate on FA visit
The Prince of Wales was visiting the Football Association's national centre on its 10-year anniversary.
St. George's Park 2012 - 2022
He today visited St George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, to mark its 10th anniversary as the home of England’s team.
During his visit, the Prince observed training sessions involving the England Men’s Senior Deaf team and the England Men’s Powerchair Development squad.
He also met children from local community clubs and the England representatives at this year’s Street Child World Cup.
Reports suggest the England Manager also thanked William for visiting St George’s Park and highlighted the centre’s decade of work.
Mr Southgate expressed his condolences to the Prince on the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
He spoke of his admiration for the manner in which the Royal Family conducted themselves following their loss.

She told reporters: “He asked if we were winning the tournament, and how many goals we had.
"Then he told us Villa was his favourite team and didn't want us to let him down.

Following the visit, FA CEO Mark Bellingham said: “St George’s Park continues to deliver on the vision we set out ten years ago to provide consistent world class support for our England teams.
“Since St George’s Park opened, our teams have won twelve tournaments, and we are confident that our best-in-class facilities, coaching and learning will support more success for future generations.
After watching England para footballers play their West Bromwich Albion counterparts in a game of powerchair, the Prince commented: “I am amazed and impressed, I haven't seen it before, but it's incredible. I'll have to come and watch the tournament.”
One of the players raised a laugh from the royal when he replied: “No pressure then!”
