Gogglebox's Stephen Webb issues health update after weight loss sparks concern

Gogglebox and Celebs Go Dating fans have shared concerns for Stephen Webb after he shared the progress of his ongoing weight loss journey. The Channel 4 star has recently been following a fitness regime following his split from ex-husband Daniel Lustig.

Today, posting a picture of him enjoying a delicious-looking ice cream to Instagram, Stephen was inundated with worried messages pleading with him not to lose any more weight. He smiled into the camera as he wore a denim jacket and a cap, with a beautiful view of water behind him.

One fan commented on the post, saying: "You look fab, but don't lose any more weight x". Another urged: "Looking fab but don't lose any more weight.... sending hugs".

Someone else commented: "You look so happy and healthy. Love you. Wish people would stop commenting on your weight. You look perfect."

Stephen then addressed his fans' concerns as he replied: "Odd isn’t! Im healthy happy, I actually had a full English that morning, fish and chips for dinner and that mountain of an ice cream. I haven’t given anything up!"

Another posted asked: "Are you using Ozempic?" The Channel 4 star responded, saying: "NO! hats off to anyone who is but no not me!"

The 52-year-old regularly shows updates on his time in the gym. Posting a photo after his workout this week, Stephen looked ecstatic as he flexed his arms and thanked his personal trainer and gym in the caption.

He recently joined the 2024 lineup for Celebs Go Dating, following his split from Daniel - who he regularly appeared on Channel 4's Gogglebox with - after being married for six years.

Stephen has faced backlash with some fans saying he is heading back onto the dating scene "too soon" after a breakup.

Shedding a bit of light on how Stephen has been feeling after his very public breakup, dating expert Anna Williamson told Express.co.uk: “We've already got into some of the nitty gritty about Stephen’s marriages, but you know, obviously, the breakup with Daniel and the relationship is a very positive one, even though they're no longer together.

"I think there is no right or wrong time to jump back into the dating pool, after a breakup. But I think people need to be kind and respectful to what goes on behind closed doors. Breakups often take a long time to actually come to fruition."

She continued: "And I would say from my experiences so far with Stephen is the breakup that he has had with Daniel has been very respectful, and full of support and love. And I believe Daniel is very supportive of Stephen being on the show."
