Aston Villa winger Robert Snodgrass in action against former club Leeds United
Snodgrass, who spent four seasons with Leeds United between 2008 and 2012, applauded the home supporters after Villa’s 1-1 draw.
One fan praised his gesture on Twitter, and said: “Got to say quality from @robsnodgrass7 going around Elland Road applauding fans, should never be booed did a lot for the club when he was there.”
And Snodgrass replied: “That was always the plan regardless [of] the result or me getting booed they were amazing with me for four years.”
Snodgrass played the full 90 minutes as Villa came from behind to nick a point at Elland Road.
