Paramount+ has set an autumn 2024 release date for Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s new drama, Landman.
Set in the world of the modern-day oil industry, Hollywood star Billy Bob Thornton will lead the 10-part series as West Texas crisis manager Tommy Norris.
A synopsis reads: “Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
The series will be a must-watch for fans of Taylor’s hit Kevin Costner-starring drama, as well as his other projects such as Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown and Special Ops: Lioness.
Here’s everything we know about the highly anticipated upcoming series.
When will Landman be released?
Streamer Paramount+ has confirmed the drama will begin with a two-episode premiere this autumn.
Specifically, the series launches on Sunday, November 17, with the series continuing with new episodes on Sundays into 2025.

Who stars in Landman?
In addition to Oscar-winner Billy, Taylor has once again populated his next prestige drama with a crop of famous faces.
Notably, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm will guest star as Texas oil titan Monty Miller, who has a long professional history with Billy’s character Tommy. Plus, Demi Moore, who’s getting awards buzz for her latest film The Substance, will portray Monty’s wife Cami.
Filling out the cast are some major names from some of the USA’s biggest shows, including Yellowstone alum James Jordan.
The main cast also features Ali Larter (The Rookie), Michelle Norris (1923), Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart), Jacob Lofland (Justified), Mark Collie (Nashville) and Paulina Chávez (Fate: The Winx Saga).
Ocean’s Eleven legend Andy Garcia and blockbuster star Michael Peña will also guest star.
Is there a trailer for Landman?
Landman doesn’t have a trailer just yet, but viewers could expect the first footage to come soon as we’re just a few months away from the premiere.
However, Paramount+ has released a series of tantalising stills from the series to get fans excited.
They include sneak peeks at the Norris and Miller families, as well as the workers who put their lives at risk to keep the oil industry afloat.
Landman premieres Sunday, November 17 on Paramount+.
