GB News presenters speak out on major change to channel during 'really busy' time
EXCLUSIVE: GB News presenter Ellie Costello opened up about a major change to the channel, which was launched in 2021, with Express.co.uk.
GB News hosts Ellie Costello and Stephen Dixon addressed changes made to their channel's headquarters ahead of winning big at this year's TRIC Awards.
Ellie usually presents Weekend Breakfast alongside Stephen but sometimes hosts the weekday breakfast show alongside Eamonn Holmes in his co-host Isabel Webster's absence.
Ellie attended this year's TRIC Awards with Stephen, with the duo walking the red carpet together while Eamonn skipped the chance to speak to broadcasters amid his break-up from wife Ruth Langsford.
During an exclusive chat with Express.co.uk at the event held in Mayfair, Ellie addressed the GB News studio undergoing a huge refurbishment.
The broadcaster, who opted for a light green dress paired with a silver bag and shoes for the event, shared: "It's going really well, we are really busy. We've just had a refurb."
Ellie continued: "Stephen saw the refurb last time [he visited the studio], didn't you?" He replied enthusiastically: "Yeah, it looks great."
When asked what work had been carried out at their central London office, Ellie confirmed a "new studio" had been created. She added with optimism: "So we are on the up."
Ahead of winning two TRIC Awards for 2024 for best daytime programme and best presenter, Ellie shared: "We are hoping for another win under our belts. It just gets better and better."
Reform UK Leader and GB News presenter Nigel Farage won the best presenter accolade for the second year in a row.

The studio now has a striking new background and a show-stopping table and chair set for its presenters.
Addressing the bold new look, host Eamonn teased viewers by saying: "Same show, different look - hope you like it!"
Taking to Instagram with a video of the studio refurbishment, Eamonn said: "But you may look at this and go, 'He's not at work, where is he, this looks different?' We have had a set redesign.
"Quite similar but very different for us, very different in terms of the lighting, very different in terms of the height of the desk.
"The curvature of the desk... It used to be straight and now it's quite curvy. And I'm going to sit on a different side of the table."
It is not known how much the renovation to the GB News studio cost. It comes after pre-tax losses at the channel reached £42.4 million for the year to the end of May 2023 - the BBC reports.
