And he has now revealed his ultimate goal in management would be to take over at Anfield.
"I'm a big dreamer," Kewell said. "You might as well go to the top.
"You want to dream big, you dream big.
"My ultimate goal is Liverpool."
Kewell also compared the coaching pathway to his own playing route.
"You've got to learn your trade," the Australian added.
