Michail Antonio celebrates after scoring Nottingham Forest's second goal
And it was a sublime performance from Michail Antonio that helped them beat relegation-threatened Rotherham 2-0.
Freedman’s men are back within eight points of the top six after scoring two goals in three minutes.
“We deserve it,” said Freedman. “Anyone needs a bit of magic and Antonio gave us that.”
Former Sheffield Wednesday forward Antonio, above, was the catalyst with his long ball setting up Dexter Blackstock, who produced a sublime lob after 43 minutes to beat Adam Collin. Antonio then scored a wonder goal two minutes later as he ran from his own half before unleashing a drive past the stranded Millers keeper for his 13th goal of the campaign.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans was succinct. “It’s a cruel game,” he said.
