United have endured a miserable start to the campaign. Successive 3-0 home defeats by Manchester City and Newcastle last week, respectively, left Ten Hag’s job hanging by a thread.
However, a battling 1-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday has preserved the Dutchman’s stay at Old Trafford. That is despite some reports claiming that a group of Red Devils stars are unhappy with the job Ten Hag is doing.
The United boss has insisted that there is ‘good cooperation’ between the staff and his players. Ten Hag has promised fans that they will see the team winning regularly in the long-term.

"I'm very good at the club. We have a very good club, good cooperation between the staff and the players. Last season was good. There are ups and downs and we have to stay together,” Ten Hag said at a Football Writers’ Association event.
“It’s a long-term project, we know what we are doing, particularly with young players. We will win in the long term.”
Questions have been asked of Ten Hag’s style of play and the cohesion of the United team. According to the Sun, some players were confused by the former Ajax’s boss’ tactics and raised concerns after the 3-0 defeat in last week’s Manchester derby.

However, Ten Hag has insisted that there is a strong team spirit within his dressing room. Speaking after the win over Fulham, he said: "I am pleased with the spirit of the team and with the way we pressed," said the Dutchman.
"We saw this [a stoppage-time winner] against Brentford and we have seen it again. It is a good resilience. They know what the standards are. This is Manchester United - you have to win every game.
"This week we have not been happy with the standards and today we improved with our standards. Every game we have to bring the battle which starts with the right mentality and attitude, to show you are hungry with passion and desire."
