The summer transfer window has now been open for two weeks but there has been very little action among the Premier League's top clubs. However, with the European window set to commence on Monday and Euro 2024 entering its final stages, recruitment is likely to accelerate in the coming days.

Chelsea have, characteristically, been among Europe's busiest clubs in the transfer window so far, wasting no time overseeing incomings and outgoings.

The Blues completed two deals on Friday to help them stay in line with Financial Fair Play and the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are working tirelessly behind the scenes to supply Erik ten Hag with new recruits ahead of INEOS' first full season at the helm.

And one of the Red Devils' priority targets is claimed to be open to an Old Trafford switch, potentially paving the way to a straightforward deal.

Express Sport provides all the latest transfer news from elsewhere as the window enters its third week.

DONE DEAL: Hutchinson to Chelsea

Omari Hutchinson to Ipswich Town is a done deal.

A great signing for the Premier League new boys - the 20-year-old forward produced 11 goals and six assists last season on loan from Chelsea.

He joins permanently for an initial £20million rising to £22.5m.

Wilf Zaha set for Premier League return

Wilfried Zaha could return to the Premier League imminently.

Galatasaray are said to be ready to part ways with the ex-Crystal Palace winger.

Palacee, West Ham Wolves, are said to be interested in bringing Zaha back to England per the Mirror.

Gala are apparently willing to let Zaha leave for a 'nominal fee' due to his wages.

A return to the English top flight would need Zaha to take a pay cut.

The Turkish giants could pay off the remainder of his contract so he can leave on a free transfer.

Chelsea and Leicester close to second deal

Leicester are closing in on deal to sign 19-year-old Chelsea academy midfielder Michael Golding.

The Foxes will pay a fee with no sell-on or buy-back clauses included in the deal, per The Athletic.

It comes after Leicester agreed to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the Blues for £30million.

The two agreements are said to be separate with Golding one of Chelsea's highest-rated youngsters.

Chelsea agree deal

Now things really are moving.Chelsea have reached an agreement with Leicester City to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as report the Athletic.

The fee for the 25-year-old is expected to be £30million, in line with other proposals Leicester received.

The midfielder is scheduled to complete a medical today and personal terms are in place on a contract until 2030.

The 25-year-old will arrive having played under new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, knowing the Italian's set-up and tactical approach inside and out.

DONE DEAL!

Douglas Luiz has officially left Aston Villa, to sign for Italian giants Juventus.

The Midlands club have in the last hour confirmed the news that the Brazil international has packed his bags and departed.

A huge coup for the Serie A outfit, given Luiz had been heavily linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool in recent years.

Emergency United meeting set

Man Utd's hopes of completing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte have suffered a blow due to a reported struggle to offload Casemiro. The Brazilian was widely expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, but he holds the power to force a stay by demanding a significant pay-off.

United splashed £70million to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid in 2022, tying him down to a four-year contract that runs until 2026, with the option of a further 12 months.

The five-time Champions League winner helped guide Erik ten Hag to a successful maiden season in charge but displayed a startling decline last term.

United are keen to offload his £290,000-a-week wages from the books and are said to be demanding around £30m to part ways.

Internal discussions at Old Trafford are now taking place to determine how the situation can be best addressed.

Newcastle pulling the strings

Newcastle are now in the depths of one of the more stranger moves of the transfer window.

Talks are being held to sign off a £35m deal to send Elliott Anderson to Nottingham Forest, with goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos heading in the opposite direction to St James' Park.

Both teams desperately need to do some squad shaking and trimming in order to continue to adhere to Financial Fair Play rulings.

Gunners hit £20m obstacle

Arsenal have reportedly hit a sticking point in their pursuit of forward Jonathan David, with their lack of outgoings hindering their ability to bolster their ranks.

Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he hopes to freshen up his squad this summer with new arrivals in all departments, in a similar manner to last summer when Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurien Timber and David Raya arrived.

The Gunners are exploring their options at both ends of the pitch, with several different forwards being monitored, including Joshua Zirkzee, Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak.

However, the higher powers at the Emirates Stadium appear to have settled on David as their top striker target.

With just 12 months remaining on his contract, David is available for a cut-price fee.

Huge bid for wonderkid knocked back

Leeds have dismissed a £40m opening gambit from Brentford for starlet Archie Gray, according to the Yorkshire Post.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham have been closely monitoring the youngster, but it appears Gray very nearly ended up in a different part of London.

Gray is reported to have travelled down for a medical, but negotations hit a snag as both teams were unable to get the finer details over the line.

Casemiro to Arsenal

It would be quite something indeed, if Casemiro ultimately does leave Manchester United but remains in the Premier League.

The Brazilian has been wildly tipped to remain, and secure a shock switch to Arsenal, by none other than a Gunners club legend.

Gilberto Silva, speaking this week, feels Casemiro has plenty left in the tank and is more than capable of continuing at Premier League level.

“Casemiro could be a good fit for Arsenal, let’s wait and see what happens. It would be very interesting if Thomas Partey left the club. If that spot becomes available then it would be interesting to see Casemiro there," Gilberto said.

"He would bring a very strong and stable option to their midfield. For me, Casemiro is still a good player. I don’t know whether he’s going to stay or not in the club, but he’s a player I would love to have on my team."

Bayern Munich are reportedly open to doing business with United for the right price, but it remains to be seen if a deal can be agreed.

Arsenal set for £4.5m transfer windfall

They are also said to be interested in Lille striker Jonathan David and Lyon defender Jake O'Brien.

Man City set for £5m transfer windfall

City signed Luiz for £10m in 2017 before selling him to Villa in a £15m deal two years later.

Five years on, they are set to pocket another £5m from his next move after including a 20 per cent sell-on clause in his contract.

Newcastle exploring Anthony Elanga deal

Newcastle United are reportedly in talks with Nottingham Forest over a potential swap deal involving Anthony Elanga and Elliot Anderson.

The Magpies were interested in Elanga before he left Manchester United for Forest in a £15m deal last summer.

And the Swede has impressed at the City Ground, scoring five goals in 39 appearances.

Liverpool in Anthony Gordon talks

Liverpool were in talks with Newcastle United for Anthony Gordon earlier this summer, according to reports.

The Mail claim that discussions were so advanced that a potential medical in Leipzig was explored.

However, Newcastle's demand for Jarell Quansah as part of the deal cooled Liverpool's interest.

It's said that talks could resume this weekend.

Arne Slot wants to bolster his attack, and the 23-year-old has been identified as a target.
